Like many things, they don't think things through properly. I've written a plot of a group robbing a money counting warehouse. They get away with millions in cash. But the problem is they can't actually use the cash. - Try buying even a car with cash and see what happens!

It seemed to be a very poorly thought out plan. From what I've heard, the target was probably some Rolex watches on display in the window.
