Stratford District Council is planning to introduce a £40 annual charge for emptying green bins. At least green waste will eventually rot away when it starts getting dumped in lay byes.

I have a nasty feeling that we're being softened up to start paying more for some waste disposal.
I expect to soon be charged to use the local tip and I'm fully expecting to CCC charging for removing garden waste next year.

I live right on the edge of the city. It is a real problem for our local farmer. I noticed last week that he'd been a victim again, but it looked like industrial waste rather than the usual domestic stuff
