Not only are the two on the flight deck going to get a good grilling, but I also wouldn't like to be the senior aircraft controller (SATCO) responsible for the airfield. I think they may well all be facing interviews without coffee over the next few days. Unfortunately, I can see this aiding the owners who want to close the airfield down. According to one report I've read, the 'failed' instrument was the airspeed indicator (ASI). I'm not buying it but will wait it out until we have more details. Meanwhile, I offer up this picture which shows just how silly (and dangerous) it is running an aircraft at speed down that runway when you aren't intending to take off. The risk assessment documentation might make interesting reading...
