I've just got back from a fantastic weekend at Hop Farm Festival down in Kent, and had an amazing time (although Bob Dylon was a let down)

What music events have anyone else been to recentlty, and enjoyed?

I have to admit that the last time I went to a music festival was <cough> about 1980 </cough>. The Sweetwater Rock Festival, held a few miles away from here in South Auckland though am not sure if that was was Ngaruawahia or Pukekawa. Three of us hitch hiked there with a small 2 person hiker tent and basic necessities. Today's 'elfen safety would have a fit at the standards of that era. Toilets were constructed of rough timber framing with hessian walls and doors. No need for a roof so they were well air conditioned. They amounted to a box seat affair over a hole in the ground. Showers? A pipe with a row of shower roses, join the queue. I don't remember seeing much refrigeration in the tents where food was sold. But we enjoyed the weekend.
