It is currently 23:37 pm and the boy racers seem to have the roads to themselves, free of police and turning them into racing strips. I wonder who replaces the rubber burned off with wheelies. I am not against young people having fun, but this is dangerous.

The question was more of an observation as I often see the Police driving around when i am walking home late from work.

I know where they were. They were on thier holidays here waiting to pounce on a landlord who is definitely being targeted as a drink driver which he isn't. He'd shut his 'shop' but had noticed a police cyclist cutting through his car park. He thought nothing of it, shut the door and got into his car. As he pulled out of the driveway of the place 2 police cars with 2 officers in each one pinned the car in on each side. They then breathalised him which was negative and drove off. This is the 4th such event on one person over a period of about 4 months. Yes, any member of the public can and should alert police to anyone under the influence of drink and or drugs but shouldn't the police also become aware and alert to the fact they may be being used by some saddo who is attempting a rein of harassment. Indeed their stake outs are harassment and he is addressing that through the police commission. Those 4 officers and their 2 cars plus the cyclist could have been doing more useful work such as what you Shizara have pointed out by a sheer absence when they are needed.

Well, when walking home from the station I sometimes see them racing around the ring road, tyres squealing. More so on some nights than others. Every generation seems to have them, much to the chagrin of the older generations who chunter and grumble about it all. When young there is a tendency for many to think they are indestructible and so behave accordingly. There are also those who succumb to peer pressure and those that choose to ignore behaviour warnings. Mistakes need to be made as part of the learning curves in life, but a few don't learn until it is too late.

THEY ride around all night in their cosy cars waiting to knock off.
I backed up to allow one Police car into the Bedworth police station, accidentally backing a foot-(not over his foot)over the yellow squares in the road. I was being polite. He asked me if I made a habit of parking on the squares.I said I'd only backed to let him through and next time I'd make him wait.
I thought I'd be arrested seeing the look on his face.H e wasn't young either. But so sour..
