We have a lot of very talented local authors, especially when it comes to specific local stories. I wish more bookstores would do this.
IIRC, WH Smith used to take local authors' work on a sale or return basis?

Yes, I think they do/did have a local authors section. I haven't stepped into a WH Smith for years, so I'm not really sure.
