Kenilworth will only get a very local service to start with, but it's a start!

ALSO THE RICHO ARENA DESPERATELY NEEDS A STATION. The roads are chokka and miserable on match days. On and off plans have been mooted since it was built. Last time I heard- some bright spark had come up with a new idea. 'How about a station for the Arena'.What planet are they on? The railway is just over the road too.Unless - since I last went by a few weeks ago, a new housing estate has sprung up on the spare land. It was more interesting when the gypsies were there.(I shall always regret not taking a photo of that stretch of sofas along the A444 when they were evicted.)

The Ricoh station is under-way: and certainly not before time!
Now, the mention of gypsies... There were two traveller vans there last week at the back of the complex. I noticed they'd gone this week though, but there was no noticeable debris left behind.

Given the other choice, I'd have gone for the more traditional design too: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-30150778

That was an interesting read Lex, thanks.
Talking stations, it would appear that the Ricoh station is almost ready to open.

Looks like we'll have to wait a few weeks longer: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/delayed-ricoh-arena-railway-station-9384611

We've waited this long, a few more weeks won't matter much.
