Police officer arrested on suspicion of misconduct

The arrest comes amid reports the officer has not met the required standards of behaviour

Warwickshire Police has confirmed one of its officers has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The officer, who has not been named, was arrested on March 9.

The individual, who has since been released, will not carry out usual duties while colleagues investigate. The arrest comes amid reports the officer "has not met the required standards of behaviour".

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: "A Warwickshire Police officer has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The officer was arrested on Sunday 9 March. They have been released under investigation and suspended whilst the investigation continues.
